YOU CAN:

  • Make your workplace a place where victims or offenders learn how and where to ask for help (through posters, brochures in paycheck envelopes, lunchtime programs).
  • Make your workplace a place where victims don’t have to lose their jobs due to abuse (supervisory training, workplace policies).
  • Understand your liability when you fail to respond to employees who disclose family violence concerns and reduce your risk and theirs.
  • When you are concerned that a co-worker or supervisor is being abused: ask. Silence only supports the violence.
